NA60
The NA60 logo synthesizes its experimental aim. It uses the Multi-Wire Proportional Chambers (the hexagon), in place since 1979 to measure dimuons (the light blue traces). To that, NA60 adds Silicon Pixel Detectors (the squares) to follow the muon traces close to the interaction point (the red dot). By doing so, NA60 can distinguish prompt events where the muons come from the interaction point, from displaced vertices (like the one depicted), where an unseen particle (dashed line) decays off-vertex.
